The Exceptional Story of Shiloh Winery
A modern winery flourishes from its ancient roots

Today, Shiloh Winery is releasing quality wines aimed for the Israeli market.

From the Judean Mountains, the Shiloh Winery, owned by entrepreneur Dr. Mayer Chomer, is presenting its wine selection for wine lovers in Israel.

The winery – established back in 2005, close to the Shiloh village and overlooking the astonishing view of the Benjamin strip – is launching extraordinary wines from this biblical site, the most ancient terroir in the world. The wines are elaborated with state of the art technologies combined with uncompromised professionalism.

Shiloh wines provide a quality and pleasurable experience, explains Amichay Luria, the head winemaker: “A quality wine must have ancient roots. Shiloh Winery roots benefit from 3000 years of deep-into-the-land tradition.”

Shiloh Winery’s selection of powerful wines is made up of modern and neat wines, resulting from the encounter of two styles from different worlds – ancient and contemporary. The wines are sold overseas and in specialized wine stores in Israel.

Shiloh wines are Kosher:
Hatam Sofer - Benei Berak
Mate Binyamin Rabbinate

Shiloh’s wines have attained international recognition, including major wine challenges:
Best Value 2009 – Silver medal for Shor Cabernet-Merlot.
Eshkol Ha’Zahav 2009 – Silver medal for Pasifas.
Terravino 2007 – Gold Medal for Cabernet Sauvignon 2005.
Eshkol Ha’Zahav 2008 – Gold medal for Chardonnay 2007, among others.

Shiloh Winery production:
Year 2005 – 20,000 bottles
Year 2006 – 50,000 bottles
Year 2007 – 70,000 bottles
Year 2008 (Sabbatical year) – 40 thousand bottles

About Shiloh’s winemaker:
The exceptional story of Shiloh Winery is also the story of the winemaker: He is an autodidact with an extraordinarily sensitive and well-developed palate. He learnt the secrets of the profession from the ground. What he begun as a hobby back in the year 2000, with a personal and privet wine production of around 3,000 bottles a year, became a profession within a few years. Luria likes to say: “I regarded wine making as a R&D lab, and it turned out into a sophisticated winery”.
